This update includes performance improvements, new features, and bug fixes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of your Point of Sale (POS), Hospitality and Retail Operating System.


What's New:

Retail

  1. Retail POS
    1. The Retail POS system includes a Back Office and a Point of Sale (POS) application.
    2. The Back Office is used to configure items, pricing, taxes, Printers, Payments and other settings, which are then synced to the POS.
    3. The POS enables users to complete sales, apply discounts, accept payments, and generate receipts. It also supports post-sale activities such as refunds, exchanges, parked transactions, and layaway, along with printing item labels and receipts.

  2. Layaway
    1. Percentage Configuration - A new option is available to configure the Minimum and Suggested Percentage and Layaway Period, and receipts accordingly.
    2. Report Drop Down Changes - The arrow Icon used to expand a receipt number’s data is being replaced with a plus (+) icon.

  3. Updates to Messaging
    1. We have updated the pop-up messages in the Retail POS application to improve clarity, consistency, and overall user experience. These changes are UI-level enhancements only and do not impact on any existing business logic or POS functionality.

SAAS

  1. As part of the new plan offerings, the below changes have been made to the Back Office Admin page.
    1. Linga Admin dashboard will include the new plans’ icons. 
    2. Under Accounts, the Account Type will be removed.
    3. Upgrade Account is being moved from under Account to under Store.

Add On

  1. Custom App - Search Menu Item: Added a menu item search feature in the Custom App to enable quicker item discovery and improve the overall ordering experience.
  2. Custom App - Number of Stores Available Count: The Custom App now displays the Available Store count, providing better visibility during the store selection process.


Enhancements:

Back Office

  1. The FTP Configuration is being hidden from Linga Admin.
  2. Future Orders Affecting Sales Recap Reports - A tooltip is being included for the Date in the Sale Recap, Cashier Out, Enterprise Sale Recap, and Enterprise Cashier Out reports.
  3. Performance Compatibility of the Admin Page - In the Linked Account dropdown, only pre-selected Accounts will be shown. Users can add or choose new accounts by searching, with a minimum input of 3 characters required.
  4. Check Number Text Standardization – Labels are being standardized by replacing Check No and Check # with Check Number across all screens and reports.
  5. Enhancing Search Usability - After search results are displayed, the cursor will remain in the search input field so the user can continue typing without interruption.
  6. Tax Round off in VRT (VRT Gaps) - The system now supports Tax Rounding Off in Online Ordering and POS.

POS

  1. Included and Additional Modifier Changes In Kitchen Receipts – Modifiers on Kitchen Receipts will be based on the Kitchen Printer settings.
  2. Offline Mode 2.0 Feedback – When Offline Mode is manually turned off in POS Settings, the Allow Offline Payment toggle is automatically disabled to prevent offline transactions and ensure consistent system behavior.
  3. Tax Round Off in VRT (VRT Dependency) – When a Sale is initiated from VRT and closed from POS, the value will be displayed with up to four decimal places in the Back Office report.

Online Ordering (OLO)

  1. Tax Round Off in VRT – The system now supports Tax Rounding Off in VRT and POS, calculated using four decimal places and rounded to two decimals.

Add On

  1. Custom App: Enhanced Modifier Handling – Enhanced Modifier handling by allowing Included Modifier Groups to be combined for a more streamlined and consistent configuration.
  2. Custom App: GiveX Rename To Gift Card – Renaming GiveX to Gift Card to enhance clarity and ensure consistency with the OLO web page terminology.
  3. Scheduler App Update – When a published shift is deleted, the employee will receive an SMS notification about the deleted shift, provided a valid phone number is associated with the employee record.

Inventory

  1. Actions that are carried out in Menu Configuration will be reflected in Store Audit Log Report under the Action and Log columns:
    1. Transfer Only New Data
    2. Transfer New Data and Update Existing Data
    3. Update Existing Data
    4. Transfer with Inventory Mappings
    5. The above changes will be reflected in Export (PDF, Excel, CSV).
    6. The above changes will apply to both Restaurant and Retail stores.

  2. Server-Side Search in Inventory – You can fetch data in the drop-down list only after manually searching in the Search field of impacted Back Office pages.

    3. The above changes will apply for both Restaurant and Retail stores.


Bug Fixes:

Back Office

  1. Fixed a bug where the Show All option is not displaying when logging in to BO via the Safari browser on iPad.
  2. Fixed a price level settings bug where 3 price levels would show when only 2 were created.
  3. Corrected a Gratuity amount mismatch between the Sale Recap and Cashier Out reports.
  4. Fixed a bug with the Web Order Tax amount on the Online Sale report.
  5. When disabling certain columns and exporting it as a PDF, the exported file shows excessive spacing between parameters.
  6. Scheduler not allowing to publish and text messages not sent – The user is able to make changes and add a shift, but unable to save the changes.
  7. Table Layout Not Saving in BO - When the customer tries to save a table layout, they are unable to save.
  8. Corrected an issue with Labor reporting
  9. Fixed a bug where Role Based Payroll Data was deleted once a Role was Removed
  10. Addressed an intermittent issue where cards were refunded multiple times.
  11. Fixed a bug where when changing the serving size of a menu item, the modifier price wouldn’t reset to zero.

Online Ordering (OLO)

  1. Addressed an intermittent issue where online orders don’t display order details
  2. Addressed an intermittent issue where OLO Payments would randomly turn off
  3. Addressed a Language Change Issue

POS

  1. Fixed a bug where rounding was off when applying a 0.01 discount with separate quantity items and modifiers.
  2. Fixed a bug where the cardholder name would print on kitchen receipt instead of guest name.
  3. Fixed an incorrect tax rounding bug.
  4. Fixed a bug where an incorrect payment status would appear when a reopening a delivery web order.
  5. Addressed an intermittent issue where a table floor sequence was not updating according to the configured Default Layout.
  6. Fixed a bug where Change Due was incorrectly displayed for cash tenders during gift card purchase/recharge when a discount was applied.
  7. Fixed a bug where Loyalty text wouldn’t appear on POS when a newly created customer was linked via CDS.
  8. Fixed a bug where the CDS header total was not appearing correctly when surcharge was enabled.
  9. Fixed a bug where the Open Discount Safety Limit wasn’t functioning properly based on the amount-based Safety Limit settings.
  10. Addressed an item quantity and pricing discrepancy when a check is split and transferred.
  11. Addressed a price updating discrepancy when item quantities were separated and checks were merged.
  12. Fixed a bug where an incorrect net sale price appeared after item quantity was split.
  13. Addressed a sales discrepancy where the Sale Recap report print was showing sales for a particular employee instead of the overall store sales.
  14. Fixed a bug where a card was refunded multiple times.
  15. Addressed a menu item price discrepancy when splitting a check with multiple item quantities and transferring a separate item to a new check.

iPad

  1. Fixed a bug that when an item from the 86 list was placed on hold, its 86 value incorrectly reset to 0 instead of retaining the correct remaining quantity.
  2. Fixed a bug where the server’s name was displayed incorrectly when reprinting a receipt.

Add On

  1. Fixed a bug where links and images didn’t display properly in the Scheduler App.

Inventory

  1. Addressed a value discrepancy between On Hand and individual Categories/Items.
  2. Fixed a bug where during Bulk Adjustment, the available amount can’t be adjusted.
  3. Fixed a bug where menu items weren’t transferring between enterprise locations.
  4. Addressed a decimal place discrepancy between purchase order total and received price.
