Epson Tm-m30 Receipt Printer: Linga with Ethernet Interface
Basic Manual/Interfaces

Set-Up Configuration
- Connect the Printer to the router with a Cat5 Ethernet Cable.
- DHCP is enable for the Ethernet Connection by factory.
- Turn it on and wait for a small paper to print with all the network information.
- Take the IP address and enter it in Linga Backoffice receipt printer setup.
- Open safari and enter the IP address in the search bar in the top of the page.
- Log in with User Name: Epson and Password: Epson
- Got to TCP/IP option on the left side and enable Manual option.
- It’s recommendable to reserve this IP address into you router to avoid disconnections.
- EpsonNetConfig will help you find the IP address if Static IP is assigned and unknown.

Ethernet Set-Up Connect the Printer to the router with a Cat5 Ethernet Cable.
- DHCP is enable for the Ethernet Connection by factory.
- Turn it on and wait 30 seconds.
- Turn it off and proceed with self-test by holding the feed button/ Turn it on and release the feed button after beeping.
- Take the IP address and enter it in Linga Backoffice receipt printer setup.
- Need windows computer to set static IP address. Note: Safari will not work for this printer.
- Open any website browser and type the IP address in the search bar.
- Go to configuration and set manual IP. Save and Reboot.
- It’s recommendable to reserve this IP address into you router to avoid disconnections.
Serial/USB Set-Up for Bevo
- Connect the serial/USB cable to the back of the POS computer.
- Add the printer in windows under printers and devices.
- For serial connection set the baud rate to 19200 in the attached COM setting.
Advance Setup and troubleshooting Utility.
- Use Printer Test V3.30C.exe in a personal windows computer.
- Connected the printer via USB to your computer or Ethernet cable to the router knowing the IP address.

Ethernet Set-Up
- Connect the Printer to the router with a Cat5 Ethernet Cable.
- DHCP is enable for the Ethernet Connection by factory.
- This printer will NOT print the IP address in a self-test.
- Use Configure.exe application only for Bixolon printer in a Windows computer to find the IP by MAC address.
- Take the IP address and enter it in Linga Backoffice kitchen printer setup.
- Open any website browser on PC or Safari in Ipad and type the IP address in the search bar.
- Uncheck the checkbox DHCP Mode and hit setting on the bottom.
- It’s recommendable to reserve this IP address into you router to avoid disconnections.
Serial Set-Up for Bevo
- Serial to Cat5 Ethernet adapter and Ethernet cable needed for this as there is not any long serial cable available to run that far from POS to Kitchen.
- Use serial DB9 to Cat5 adapter on the back of the POS system.
- Use serial DB24 to Cat5 adapter on the back of the printer.
- Run the Cat5 Ethernet cable to both devices.
- Add the printer in windows under printers and devices.

Troubleshooting Reference
Customer Calls with Printer is not working or printing.
- First step is to get the printer name/model information from the customer.
- Is the printer on? Make sure you can feed paper and nothing is jamming inside.
- DO self-test to see if it’s the actual printer hardware or connection issues.
- Check the interface in windows level printer attached in port setting for Bevo.
- Virtually check the back of the printer for connection type.
- For Ethernet printer you will see the green and orange light in the Ethernet port.
- Don’t NOT decide it is Ethernet printer because has cat5 cable. Remember that Serial Kitchen printer use adapter with cat5 cables.
- No light and no adapter mean the internet cable is unplug or broken somewhere.
- Open CMD and ping the IP address in POS system for Ethernet printer.
- For serial check the com port in the back of the computer and try a different one.
- Use Configure.exe for Bixolon.
- Use NetworkAnalizer app in Ipad to see devices connected in the network. You will see IP addresses, Mac addresses and Manufacture name in some cases.
- From the self-test paper, match the Mac address on the NetwokAnalizer app to find the device IP address.
