Bixolon Setup Guide

How to set up Bixolon Printer (Out of the Box)

1.)         First, turn the printer around and plug in the power cord.


 

2.)         Locate the ethernet port, on the left-hand side.


 

3.)         Plug in the ethernet cable. (Ethernet port will turn orange and green.)

 


4.)         To be able to connect the printer to your store, you will need to get the IP Address. To do this turn the printer off and hold the feed button, while holding the feed button turn the printer back on and wait 6 seconds.


 

 

5.)         The self-test will print and you will be able to find the IP at the bottom of the ticket.


 

6.)         To complete the printing, click the feed button one more time. This will print the alignment slip.


 

7.)  To update the IP Address in the back office, go into your store settings, then Printers.

 

8.) Select Kitchen Printers on the bar below.


9.) Click “+ Kitchen Printer” on the right side.


 

10.)                    Enter the Type, Printer Model, Name, and IP Address. Then hit SAVE.


 

11.)                    You will know you successfully added your kitchen printer when you see it under the Kitchen Printers section.


12.)                    To attach your Kitchen Printer to a Category, you will first go into your Category section and click “+ New Category.”


13.)                    On the right-hand side, you will see a section to add your kitchen printer. This is the same for Sub-Categories.


 

14.)                    To attach your Kitchen Printer to a Product/Item, you will go into the Products/Items tab and select “+ Menu Item.” On the right-hand side, you will see a section to add in the Kitchen Printer.
