Retail Back Office: Linga Admin - Country Settings


Navigation: Log into Admin then select Settings > Countries

The Countries page displays a list of Countries established under your Enterprise in the form of a table with the following columns:

  1. Country Name:  The name of the country.
  2. Currency Name: The name of the country's currency.
  3. Currency Symbol: The symbol representing the country's currency.
  4. Actions: Contains the Edit (pencil) button.
    1. Note: Once a Country has been created, it cannot be deleted.

Create or Edit a Country
  1. Click + New Currency to create a new Country, or under Actions click the corresponding Edit (pencil) icon of an existing Country to update it. The New/Update Country pane appears.


  2. Country Name: (Mandatory) The name of the country. There is no character restriction.
  3. Currency Name: (Mandatory) The name of the country's currency. There is no character restriction.
  4. Currency Symbol(Mandatory) The symbol representing the country's currency. There is no character restriction.
  5. Phone Code(Mandatory) The country of the phone code will be entered, and only numbers will be allowed.
  6. ISO Code(Mandatory) The ISO code of the country.
    1. Example: ISO 3166-2:VN is the entry for Vietnam in ISO 3166-2, part of the ISO 3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which defines codes for the names of the principal subdivisions (e.g., provinces or states) of all countries coded in ISO 3166-1.
  7. Currency Decimal: (Mandatory) The number of decimal places for the currency.
  8. Decimal Separator(Mandatory) Either comma (,) or dot (.) for separating the number and decimal values.
  9. Thousand Separator(Mandatory) Either comma (,) or dot (.) for separating the group of thousands.
    1. You cannot select same separator for Decimal and Thousand Separators. If the same separator is selected, an error message appears.
  10. When ready, click Save or Update. You are returned to the main Countries screen where a confirmation will appear at the upper-right. If a Country was created it will be added as a row in the table.
