S700 & S740 Scanner Instructions

Print this document on a good quality printer. 

Go into Bluetooth first and press the i with a blue circle and forget the socket s700 scanner before you proceed.

1.Then turn on scanner and scan Step 1: this will make a sound and turn the scanner off

2. Turn the scanner back on and wait until you see the blue Bluetooth light flashing

3.  Scan Step 2 and it should make beep sound

4. scan step 3 sometimes when you hold the button down you need to slowly pull away the scanner for it to read it and it should make a beep sound.

5. For the model 740 BT Scanner only

Scan the desired scan method you want to use before complete setup.

6. On the last page scan the barcode for Scanner Always On

7. On the iPad go to Bluetooth under other device you will see the scanner touch it and it should show up in my devices as connected.

8. Force close the pos app and start it again it should now it should work

9. This setup takes care of mast Standard bar codes.

Note: These upcoming barcodes may not make any sound

Step 4: Removing Preamble and UPC-A digit

Now, scan the barcode below to remove the Preamble. 

Result:

After all steps are performed you are ready to connect to host device 

Creating a New Retail item:

Go to “Products/Item”, “+Retail Item”

When imputing the information, it is important when filling out the “Sku Codes” to type in the full code name. Example: From the leading “3” to the ending “8”

Enter inventory details and select “Update and Publish” when complete
