EPSON TM-M30 Wireless Printer

How to Reset a Tm-m30 Wireless Printer to setup on a system:

First turn off power to the printer


Step 1: Insert a paper clip into the status sheet button

Step 2: (while holding the status Sheet button in with paper clip) Turn “on” the printer

Step 3: When the printer prints “Initialization complete” Release the status Sheet button


As shown: This will print when the printer is reset to default values

 NOTE: The IP is back to a default IP of 192.168.192.168

NOTE: Make sure your iPad is connected to the network your printer will be on

Go to the App Store and Download the Epson Tm Utility

After download open up the app on your Ipad

Select “Wi-Fi Setup Wizard”



Select “TM-m30” and select “Next”


The Screen will now change to this and follow the insturctions on this page then select “Printed”


The screen will change to this and press “Next”


Press “Allow”


Select “Back to return” to TM Utility

Now connect to the EPSON_Printer

Then press next


Step 1: Enter the Name of the wireless router this printer will connect to

Step 2: Press “Next”


Security Selection:

Step 1: Press None then choose the WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES) (Encryption Key from ticket)

Step 2: Press next


 Step 1: Enter the passphrase to log into your router

(you can slide display the passphrase to verify the passphrase)

Step 2: Press “Next” when you know it is correct


Step 1: Turn off “DHCP”

Step 2: Enter the desired Ip Address for the printer

(It will automatically fill in the gateway)

Step 3: Select “Next”


Press “Set to printer” it will reconnect to the original WIFI

Go to the next screen



Select “Test Printing”

Select “Finish”



Setting up printer in BOH:

Select “Settings”, “Printer Configuration”, “Receipt Printers”

Select “+Receipt Printer”


Type in the IP address from the ticket and press “Update”



Setting up Printer in FOH:

Step 1: Log in to operations

Step 2: Go into hardware settings

Step 3: Press Printer setting

Step 4: touch the receipt printer you set up assign it to the terminal and it will now show a red check mark next to it.
